What it measures

Your English ability across five skills: grammar, vocabulary, reading, listening and speaking.

Scoring system

Every section is scored 0–100%. Speaking is analysed by AI for fluency, pronunciation and confidence. The overall score is the weighted average.

CEFR level

Your score is mapped to the CEFR scale: A1 · A2 · B1 · B1+ · B2 · C1.

Reference score

A score of 50% or higher means you are working comfortably inside your level.

Placement test

The EIG English placement test — know your CEFR level before you pay

The EIG assessment is a full CEFR-aligned placement test built on the same skill areas BPO employers measure: grammar accuracy, working vocabulary, reading comprehension, listening under time pressure and spoken fluency. It returns a level — A1 to C1 — with a complete level analysis you can use to plan your next step.

It exists for one practical reason: level honesty. A candidate at A2 who buys a hiring-focused program will struggle in the assessment stage no matter how good the training is, and a B1 candidate who spends months on foundation grammar wastes hiring seasons. The test decides your track objectively.

What the speaking section actually tests

The speaking part is recorded and scored on fluency, pronunciation clarity, grammatical control and task completion — the same weighting used in versant-style employer screening. You will be asked to introduce yourself, describe a situation and respond to a short customer scenario, because those three tasks predict call handling better than any written question.

After your result

  • B1 or higher: you are eligible for the hiring-focused programs and can book immediately.
  • A2 or below: you will see a foundation route instead, and you may retake the test after training.
  • Every result includes a complete level analysis with your CEFR band.
